Ink and coloured pencils on scrap paper

This project is inspired by the artist Kiki Smith, and her concept about how humans and animals are related and her ideas about feminism. I mostly admire her naturalistic art adopting feminist and cultural narratives, depicting the woman and the wolf as one, demonstrating her wild side. I worked with black ink on a scrap paper and the only colors I used where light blue in some details and white for lights.

My concept is about the meaning behind dreams and specifically nightmares. In each illustration I display a hidden meaning behind a form. For example, the middle-aged woman appearing tired and overworked portrays the mother and the genie is an archetype of lust and desire. I finished this project by combining the works together by creating a poster using Adobe Photoshop.
